Does the scanner work with all event badge types?
Yes. Tapt's universal scanner uses AI-powered OCR to read any event badge, paper business card, QR code, or LinkedIn QR code. It works independently from event organisers, so you're never reliant on their systems or rental hardware.
What data does AI enrichment add?
Tapt automatically enriches every scanned contact with verified email addresses, phone numbers, job titles, LinkedIn profiles, company name, industry, and company size. Multiple data sources are queried in sequence to ensure the most accurate and complete result.
Which CRMs are supported?
Tapt integrates directly with HubSpot, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and more. You can also connect to thousands of additional platforms through Zapier. Leads sync with mapped fields, so data lands exactly where your team needs it.
Will it create duplicate contacts?
No. Tapt automatically deduplicates contacts during sync, matching against existing records in your CRM. If a contact already exists, their record is updated rather than duplicated. This behaviour is fully configurable via your Integrations tab, so you can adjust how matches and updates are handled to suit your team's workflow.
